How to be C.A.L.M. (From Max Lucado’s “Anxious for Nothing”)
C- Celebrate God’s goodness.
“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” (Phil. 4:4).
Focus on God’s love, power, and grace. Rejoice that His will is indeed Best for you.
A- Ask God for help.
“Let your requests be made known to God” (Phil. 4:6).
Nothing good will ever happen when you worry. What is good and perfect will happen when we pray. Pray.
L- Leave your concerns with God. Let him take charge. Let God do what he is so willing to do.
“Guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:7).
Trust that God is able and willing to give what is Best for you. He will deliver what He has promised. Trust.
M- Meditate on good things.
“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy— meditate on these things” (Phil. 4:8).
What you think determines how you respond, speak, and act. Think True, Noble, Just, Pure, Lovely, Good, Praiseworthy. Think God.
YOU CAN BE CALM BY LOOKING UP! (Yown Ninang! Calm up nga! 😊) Look to the Lord always!
